Clannad for Switch coming west on July 4
Prototype will release the Switch version of Clannad via the Nintendo eShop in the west on July 4 for $44.99, day and date with its Japanese release, the company announced.
Like the Japanese version, the western version supports in-game switching between English and Japanese text. That said, the game will also be released physically in Japan, so if you prefer a physical copy, the Japanese version can also be played in English.
Clannad first launched for PC in April 2004 and has since been ported to various platforms, including PlayStation 2, PSP, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Android, PS Vita, and PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4 version also supports switching between English and Japanese text, and like the Switch version, is available digitally in the west and physically in Japan. The PC version features English text and can be purchased via Steam.
